At Stewart Technology, great marketing and sales starts with great people. As part of our Meet the Team series, we’re introducing the individuals who help us connect with customers, tell our story and grow the business.

This time we’re introducing our Graduate Sales Trainee, Shannon Taitt. Six months in and Shannon is already leaving her mark on the business, bringing a fresh perspective to the Stewart Technology team.

Q&A with Shannon

How long have you been at Stewart Technology?

Six months and it’s gone very quickly!

What is your favourite part of your role or project you’ve contributed to?

My favourite part of the role is definitely the people I get to meet! But my favourite project so far has been redesigning the Stewart Technology website, which was one of my first tasks here. It was something I’d never done before and I enjoy a challenge!

What snack or drink gets you through the day?

Definitely coke zero and overnight Biscoff weetabix – if you haven’t tried it you’re missing out.

What is your favourite piece of equipment in the factory?

The conformal coating machine, it’s oddly satisfying to watch!

What is a typical day like?

Everyday is different which is probably what I enjoy most. My time is split between marketing, social media, prospecting, speaking to clients and the occasional trade show, which is always a great way to meet people!

What are your hobbies outside of work?

The gym is probably my main hobby and spending time with my family and friends. Outside of that I’ll pretty much watch any live sport going, though football is definitely my number one.

What is your favourite movie or TV show?

I’m currently on a Greys Anatomy rewatch so I’d say that just now but my ultimate feel good show is Schitt’s Creek, it never gets old.

What is one insight from your role that you think clients or partners would find useful?

UK manufacturing is actually much more competitive than people think! A lot of people assume that overseas manufacturing is cheaper but once you factor in lead times, shipping costs and quality control, it’s often better to stay closer to home.

Surprise fact!

I actually studied Forensic Anthropology at uni, which usually either interests or terrifies people when I mention it!

Bringing Energy and Fresh Perspective

Shannon’s enthusiasm and willingness to get stuck in have made her a brilliant addition to the team. From redesigning our website to building new client relationships, she brings a fresh perspective to Stewart Technology and we’re excited to see where the next six months take her.

Stay tuned as we continue our Meet the Team series, introducing more of the brilliant team behind what we do.
